It's about time somebody took action against this receiver and his committee. Stanford's assets have been sold for peanuts to pay the bills of Janvey and the lawyers.
The committee was intended to represent all victims and what we ended up with was a bunch of lawyers looking after their own interests and a self proclaimed leader of SVC who went after SIPC cover to the exclusion of all else falsely claiming everybody would benefit.
I hope the SIVG are successful in their lawsuit against the committee, the only interests they have ever represented are themselves and Americans.
If they win they scrutinise the expenses submitted by each of the committee members and and if it is shown they have submitted unreasonable claims force them to repay the money.
It would be great if they can force Janvey and the lawyers to repay some of their exorbitant fee's they charged to the victims.
Unfortunately its to late to do anything about Stanford's assets that were sold for a tenth of their real value.
Every member of that committee should hang their heads in shame!
I hope the new receiver on Antigua is paying attention. We the victims must make sure we don't get railroaded again by having unelected representatives on the new committee being formed by the receiver Grant Thornton.
SIVG must act immediately if our interests are not represented. If we end up with people on that committee who were not voted on by the victims we should demand to know how they got on the committee.
We waited to long to take action against the U.S. receiver Janvey, now we have learned our lesson let's not allow the new receiver on Antigua make the same mistake.

Great work guys, well done.
This should have happened a long time ago, but at least they are going to be held to account now.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see the judges decision, I am losing all faith in the American justice system.
I hope Kachroo Legal Services are successful, the only people who have benefited so far has been Janvey and the lawyers.
